Nickel Electroplating System:

A piece of nickel metal is made the anode. Cathode is to be electroplated.
The two electrodes, anode and cathode are immersed in nickel sulphate (NiSo4) solution.
sulphate act as a electrolyte. The two electrodes are connected to a battery.
When electricity flows, Nickel releases anode electrons at the anode.
These electrons go to cathode through the external circuit. Ni+2
into (NiSo4) solution and move to cathode where they gain electrons and deposit as
nickel metal at the cathode and thus electroplating occurs.

At the Anode:

Oxidation

At the Cathode:

Reduction
